The Aquanauts watercolor artists present:
Common Water
Different Visions
What we’ve seen and what we dream.
Capturing visions of the world around us,
Expressed through watercolor
The aquanauts is a collective of artists that meet weekly at Zeller Studio in Hopkins. We gather on Monday afternoons for fellowship, creating art and supporting each others endeavors. A constructive critique is offered when needed, or a specific technique explained, or uplifting support (I think it’s finished!). Everyone agrees that our meetings are a great start to the week and will keep us going through whatever happens next.
After two years we have agreed that it’s time to share our works. There are abstracts, still life studies, landscapes, portraits of people and pets, and views of life in general. The work is mostly in watercolor but there are also drawings, acrylics and mixed media works.
Our name “The Aquanauts” says that we’re noble and brave adventurers of the unknown that lies in water, even though the only thing that gets wet is our paper and brushes. Come and see our show at the Zeller Gallery – wetsuits are optional!
Participating Artists: Jean Allen, Ann Bercher, Andrea Brosch, Sandra Cowing, Zenobia (Zee) Evan, Elizabeth Franklin, Judy Fulk, Diane Monroe, Lizzie Ogren, Vic Perlbachs, Nancy Zinter
